What is Composting All About?
These days, "green" demands are constantly thrown in our faces from every angle. "Buy organic!" Easy enough. "Recycle!" Okay, I can do that. "Compost your trash!" Wait...what? And why? Well, there are actually many good reasons to compost your trash, and it is a lot easier than you might think!
First of all, what is compost? Compost is really nothing more than decomposed plant and animal materials that are decomposed through aerobic decomposition and turned into a very rich dark soil. This rich soil cannot be beat and is great for many uses, including use as a soil conditioner and fertilizer. Compost soil is 100% organic.
I Love Organic Wine - A Biodynamic Wine From Bordeaux France
This biodynamic wine was produced by a very dynamic Bordeaux winemaker, Olivier Decelle who started out in frozen foods. His first day's revenue was 10 francs (about $2.50) By the time he got into wine he owned 400 frozen food outlets. This particular bottle carries the Appelation Fronsac Controlee, grown in a not very prestigious zone of Bordeaux. The Fronsac area may have hosted the first vineyards in Bordeaux. A long time ago its wines ranked better than those of neighboring Pomerol that are now quite pricey. Fronsac is considered an up-and-coming region. If you're willing to spend more, check out neighboring Cotes-Canon-Fronsac AOC wines. This particular wine is made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec grapes.
Tips For A Perfect Beach Wedding
After watching 3 separate beach weddings occur in one day, it dawned on me that there are many things that brides simply don't think about. I won't go into detail about the basic wedding elements such as food to serve, seating arrangements and items like that, but these are things that you may not have considered for beach weddings in particular.
One of the tricks to holding a beach wedding is timing it properly with the tides. It will make the difference as to whether you'll hold the wedding on tight packed wet sand or the soft white sand of the dunes. Consider the tide tables and make note of when the tide is normally in or out for the particular beach where you'll be holding your wedding. While there is normally a lot of variance from day to day, there is some consistency that you can base your service around.

Barbecue Sauce - BBQ Flavors Around the World
Barbecue sauce is a popular condiment. However, many of us might not realize the sheer variety of BBQ flavors that are used in various regions of the United States and even the rest of the globe. Barbecuing meat is a cooking tradition that has been in use for centuries, so it's not surprising that just about every part of the world has its own flavors and methods.
The United States is particularly notable for having a wide range of regional BBQ flavors. The famous Louisiana Hot Sauce is often used as a table condiment after the meat is roasted. The city of Memphis is known for dry rubs, as well as its pulled pork with sweet spicy tomato flavors. Texas barbecue is often tomato-based as well, but usually less sweet. It ranges from mild to very bold and spicy. Many versions are made with cumin, onions, drippings from the meat, ketchup, and chili powder.
Big-Easy Cajun Relish
COMMENTARY: As the title of this recipe hints, it originated in New Orleans, where the recipe was passed around from hand to hand. First making itself known in print during the depression of the 1930’s, the recipe was made popular by the Cajun population of New Orleans citizenry. The descriptive term „Big-Easy?, is the name lovingly bestowed upon the city of New Orleans by itinerant professional musicians. It was regarded as a place where they could always find work regardless of the music style or instruments they specialized in.
